Slater Harrison achieve ISO 9001 certification

Slater Harrison are pleased to announce we have achieved ISO 9001 accreditation. ISO 9001 is a globally recognised standard for quality management systems. To become ISO 9001 certified, an organisation must undergo an audit by a certification body that is accredited by an internationally recognised accreditation body. ISO 9001 certification is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process that requires continuous monitoring and improvement of the quality management system. The certification must be renewed periodically; typically 6 monthly audits and a full review after 3 years.

We started the process in earnest 6 months ago. Our team was led by Business Director, Jenny Smallwood with considerable help from Steve Burns.

We had a number of systems in place which helped us greatly, though we had to formalise things such as Internal Audits, Document Control and Quality Awareness Training. We also needed to put a little more emphasis on the collection of accurate information to help with things like Preventative Actions. This all went very well which is a great credit to Jenny, Steve and all our team.

We’ll have our first follow-up audit in November. At this time we’ll need to provide evidence to confirm that everything is on track.
